English Lesson Story #11

Should today only have one hour only Hydrology, but because Mrs. Rella ask for additional hours as a substitute for the meeting before the middle of the semester, then in the second hour is used for additional hours of English.

Finally, this time my group is a presentation. let me introduce my group members, there are Reza, Ferry, Asep, Syahril, Abdul Syarif and of course Me. Members of our group more than other groups because suddenly abdul Sharif entered our group. He should have been a member of a group of five, but his meeting yesterday he was unable to attend so he decided to join us, and we also did not mind. abdul syarif as moderator and others as speakers. our group discussed about water resources engineering. engineering of water resources related to the collection and management of water. we were relieved after the presentation and we also shared some feedback and improvements from Mrs. Rella to improve our presentation before sending it to the blog.

The tenth meeting

Today begins with a presentation from Abdul Syarif’s group. Although the Abdul could not attend, but the presentation continued with Ika as moderator and Fajarudin, Andriyansah, M.Abdu and Ikhsan as members. They discuss about Land Surveying.

English Lesson Story #9

After the semester exam we still have to continue the meeting. This time meeting should be part of my group for presentation. But since I have to work nights and can not join my group, then I take a morning class. In the morning class is Alma's group turn for presentation. They discuss about the story of civil engineering.

Their presentation went smoothly but at the time of corrected it turns out their article is not in accordance with the provisions which should be used articles must be native English, not even Indonesian articles translated into English. Mrs. Rella asks them to rediscover the correct article and re-present it.

After the presentation we were asked to look for some songs whose lyrics have questions about W + H, until this course ends.

English Lesson Story #7

This week there is no meeting, lecture or so called quiet week, because this week is used by Faculty of Informatics Engineering for midterm exam. Only a few lecturers use this week for meetings.

I am confused what I will write, because there is no story and no classroom meetings.

Actually not a quiet week but this week also used us to prepare for midterm exam next week. and lecturers who use this week just to give us a grid.

Mid Semester #8

November 22nd

This week is our schedule to take midterm exam. Exam questions are taken from the discussion that is held every week. The exam is supervised by a lecturer. This time our supervisor is Mr. zalzulifa, Mrs. Rella can not attend because of her umrah. When the exam is allowed to open the dictionary but not allowed to access the internet. The exam went well. Many of us can do exam questions quickly, maybe because they already understand the test questions or maybe they are lazy to linger in class. ☺

But I think they are all quite familiar with the proven question when our exam results are all pretty good and only a few score under "Enough".

English Lesson Story #6

Meeting this time I take morning class. Not much different from the night class, today's presentation from the third group. The equipment is complete, but group members do not exist yet. one of our friends said if all the members of the third group went to the night class. the presentation was postponed because no group emerged, and because the other group did not have enough preparation.

So Mrs. Rella concluded to give UTS grids rather than wasting time. He gives some sample questions. Examples of questions given not far from the presentation material. In the question, there is a sentence we must analyze: verbal / nominal sentences, tenses used, ask questions with W + H and change active sentences to passive or vice versa.

In some questions, Mrs. Rella will provide A for students who want to progress and provide answers to those questions. some of us answered the question and got an A. But this time I am not a lucky person ☹

English Lesson Story #5

The fifth meeting,

We have prepared the equipment that will be used for presentation. today is the presentation of the second group. The second group consisting of: Ahmad Zahri, Rizki Faisal, Dicky Sofyan, Bagas and Putuhal. They presented a presentation entitled transportation engineering. Putuhal as moderator and the other as a speaker. Compared to last week's meeting, this week's presentation is better. the preparation of their material is quite good and complete. However, there are few parts to be fixed. the fifth meeting,

We have prepared the equipment to be used for presentation. Currently presentation of the second group. The second group consists of: Ahmad Zahri, Rizki Faisal, Dicky Sofyan, Bagas and Putuhal. They presented transportation techniques. Put as moderator and the other as a speaker.

After this group of presentations, we correct the shortcomings of this group. Compared to last week's meeting, this week's presentation is better. Preparation of their materials is quite good and complete. However, there are some parts that need to be fixed. such as, making 5W1H sentences and determining passive and active sentences. With these improvements, we know where the errors and how to create the article correctly.
